Strengthening Scotland’s Digital Defences
ScotlandIS are pleased to have secured funding through the Scottish Government to support public sector organisations to achieve Cyber Essentials (CE) certification – a crucial step in protecting sensitive data, mitigating cyber threats, and ensuring operational resilience.
This fund will be distributed to public sector organisations, allowing you to access up to £1000 to secure CE accreditation (Terms and Conditions Apply).
Why Cyber Essentials?
Public sector organisations handle vast amounts of sensitive information and provide essential services that citizens rely on daily. Cyber Essentials certification helps to:
- Reduce cyber risks by defending against common online threats
- Strengthen public trust by demonstrating commitment to cybersecurity best practices
- Ensure compliance with government security standards and frameworks
- Enhance resilience against cyberattacks, minimising potential disruption to services
Eligibility & Application
- Your organisation must be in the public sector, and based or registered in Scotland
- The fund will cover both new applications and lapsed CE certifications
- Successful applicants must complete the certification process by 1st July 2025
Funds will be allocated on a first come, first served basis, so early application is encouraged.
